I have been using this app for the last 7 months and recently sponsors/advertisements are showing below the "products" I have on my list.
1. This makes the list look very untidy
2. Since it is placed at the same place where notes usually shows up it "confuses" and distracts the order of the shopping list due to the reason you actually have to look twice to make sure it is an ad. and not something you have written
3. If I am not mistaking when I bought this app it was mentioned in iTunes that this app was ad free
4. I think it is unethical to start putting ads into a paid app, I feel that I am being ripped off since I have paid for a product. I would understand and accept the ads if I had the free shopper lite version and had less functions.

Because of these ads I am considering removing my app and find a new "shopper" app, but before I do I hope you can give me a feed back regarding this. I am yet to rate and comment this app in iTunes, hopefully you will remove the ads and I can give this app the 5 stars it deserves instead of 1 star due to the use of ads.

Waiting for your reply

I don't have that Flyers thing enabled but I'm still seeing ads for Carnation milk every time I enter a dairy product - its very annoying.

Why is it that even though I paid for your app, I'm still forced to look at these ads. Please give us the option to Opt-Out of your advertising. This is definitely one of the worst "features" of this version--this and the broken shopping cart for shared lists (the whole point of using your app).

I am one of the many who paid the full, original, price of $4.99 (I think. It was more than 99 cents anyway).

I am also more than cheesed off about the unwanted ads that you have introduced. If referring to the ads as "messaging capabilities" helps you sleep at night, you had better wake up and read what your customers want.

It's plain and clear. It's in this very forum, and it's in the comments in the app Store. Your customers don't want to pay for an application that contains ads.

Some of your early customers, including myself, feel that you have ripped us off by lowering the price and then using that lower price to justify the inclusion of ads - all into an application that we paid for, and that didn't include ads.

I think it's time to start complaining, to iTunes, about your questionable business practices.

How can I go back to the app that I purchased, which had no ads included?

I paid for a product that you have subsequently mutilated in my view. And I can get rid of the mutilation by paying a recurring fee.

I don't want to pay for a subscription either.

Just give me back my app for which I paid you money.

How can that be done?
