I'm using the Lite version on an ipod touch, so I don't have a camera. I realize I would have to enter the barcodes manually, but I don't find the option to do so. Is it only available in the purchased version?

Yes, it is only available in Shopper (not Shopper Lite). Requirements to use the scanning feature are: Located in U.S. and iPhone 3.1 OS and higher.
